Robert Posner, M.D., President and CEO
Dr. Posner is founder
of Serotonin-Plus, Inc. He has been in private practice in the Northern
Virginia area for 15 years as an internal medicine physician. Dr. Posner developed
the
Serotonin-Plus Weight Loss Program and the Serotonin Weight Management
System™ as
a result of his groundbreaking research into the effects of oral serotonin
supplementation on weight loss. He founded Serotonin-Plus, Inc. to commercialize
his successful program and make it available to many who need help with weight
loss.
Dr. Posner developed and patented the Serotonin Formula™, a unique oral
serotonin supplement and The United States Patent and Trademark Office issued
a patent
for this invention in January, 2000 (U.S. Patent Number 6,017,946). He has
also researched the concept of serotonin replacement for serotonin imbalance
conditions, such as depression, chronic fatigue, migraine headaches, premenstrual
syndrome, fibromyalgia and myofascial pain syndrome. Dr. Posner’s book, “Doctor,
I have a Chemical Imbalance” – The Serotonin Story, was released
in June 2002. The second edition was released in February 2004.
Dr. Posner graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors from Binghamton State University
in 1977 and then attended Downstate Medical School in New York City, graduating
in 1981. In 1984, he became certified as a Diplomate of The American Board
of Internal Medicine. During his active duty tour in the U.S. Navy, Dr. Posner
was selected to interview for the position of physician to President Reagan
as well as physician to Congress. Dr. Posner was voted Teacher of the Year
by the Jacksonville Naval Hospital family practice residents in 1986 and was
awarded the Navy Achievement Medal in 1988. Since starting his private practice,
Dr. Posner has taught internal medicine residents from Georgetown University,
and medical students from such institutions as The Medical College of Virginia.

Linda Hlivka, Vice President of Operations
Linda brings over 20 years of experience in Marketing and Operations as well
as an extensive background in new product development and nutrition to Serotonin-Plus,
Inc. She successfully led marketing, product development and operational initiatives
for multi-billion and million-dollar companies as well as early stage organizations.
Ms. Hlivka has worked with such companies as Pennsylvania Power & Light
during electricity deregulation, Ashland Chemical, Henkel Corporation, Carter-Wallace,
and Church and Dwight Co, Inc. along with several start-up organizations.
In addition, Ms. Hlivka has formulated vitamins and nutritional supplements
in the laboratory and has worked with major nutritional supplement companies
on product integrity issues. Ms. Hlivka has developed and commercialized over
80 new products/services throughout her career and was awarded 8 United States
patents for new and novel products/ formulations. She also commercialized several
patented new technologies and grew them to multi-hundred million-dollar businesses.
Ms. Hlivka’s emphasis on business development has resulted in an average
sales growth of 30% year over year for the last 10 years. Her operational streamlining
efforts over the last 5 years have shown an average profitability increase
of 66%. Ms. Hlivka earned a B.S. degree in Human Nutrition and Foods from Rutgers
University and an M.B.A from Regis University. |
