Every one of us has daily habits or rituals.  From when/how often you brush your teeth, to whether you floss, to the first shoe you put on when getting dressed, to what you eat for breakfast, to when/if you exercise.  Yes, routine behaviors turn into habits and those habits will play a huge role in your weight status.  Take the time to examine the “habits” that you have developed and see how many of these are helpful to your weight loss efforts and those that derail them.  Yes, those two glasses of wine when you come home are deleterious.  Yes, that 4-time a week gym visits are helpful.  Take a step back and examine closely all of the behaviors you perform almost ritualistically and try to build on the ones that help you become healthier and happier and rid yourself of the ones that make you look older and feel more tired.  Easy to do?  Of course not.  If it was easy, 68% of Americans would not be overweight.  Become one of the minority.
