weight loss and weekend activities
Last night I ventured out to the Charles Town races and casino. A beautiful night for sure. I went before dinner so when it came time to eat, I was amazed to see an incredible lack of eating facilities that would be construed as conducive to follwoing our trantional dietary plan….from the buffet to the food court to the hot dog and beer concessions out by the track itself, there were few “healthy” choices. I eventually found a sit down restaurant that offered steeak, vegetables, salads, etc. This was buried pretty deepm into the casino.
A smarter choice would have been for me to eat dinner at a surrounding area restaurant BEFORE I entered the complex. There were many other choices outside the facility.
“Planning” is a vitally important part of a long=term weight control strategy and when your goal is to lose weight, we all must plan ahead to ensure we are setting ourselves up for success as opposed to derailing our efforts with one noght of really poor choices.
By the way, I won some races, lost others, and came out only 15 dollars down…now if I had sat at that hundred dollar minimum hand blackjack table, I would probably be whining this morning!!!
