Time management is often very challenging. The extent of the challenge is dependent on the stage of life as well as monetary resources. For example, by necessity, a working couple with small children at home will have lots more challenges that a retired couple that have been fortunate enough to be sitting on lots of retirement money. The working parents hit the “go” button early in the morning and by the time they have gotten ready, kids to school, work accomplished, kids to after school events and then dinner, the day is shot. The retired couple does not have even close to the amount of “time consuming” daily events.

Time management impacts on weight control efforts. There is no time management needed for the purposes of gaining yet, but losing the weight and keeping it off? This is an entirely different story. LOTS of time management is required: Planning meals, preparing meals, taking the time to eat slowly, having time to exercise, etc.

During your long-term weight control efforts, try to employ, as best as possible, time management optimization. Yes, depending on your situation this may be difficult, but time management will be a necessary component of your success.
